Prélude - Le combat de Richter

Ca peut paraître dingue, mais à chaque fois que je discute de Castlevania avec un joueur sur Internet et que je dis "Die Monster !", il réplique "You don't belong to this world". Cette scène est culte. Pour les profanes, il s'agit du dialogue entre Richter et Dracula qui se passe au tout début du jeu.

Richter : Meurt, sale monstre. Tu n'as rien à faire dans notre monde.
Dracula : Ce n'est pas de ma main que j'ai une fois de plus fais couler le sang. J'ai été invoqué ici par... les humains... qui souhaitaient me payer tribut.
Richter : Tribut ? Tu voles l'âme des gens et en fait tes esclaves !
Dracula : Peut-être peut-on dire la même chose de toute religion.
Richter : Tes mots sont aussi vides que ton âme. T'es pas le genre de sauveur dont l'humanité à besoin...
Dracula : Qu'est ce qu'un homme ? Un minable petit tas de secrets ! Mais assez parlé, en garde !
... Combat ...
Dracula : Non... ce n'est pas possible. Ahhhhhhhhhhh.

Richter : Die Monster, you don't belong in this world.
Dracula : It was not by my hand that I am once again given flesh.
Richter : I was called here by... humans... who wish to pay me tribute.
Dracula : Tribute?
Richter : You steal men's souls, and make them your slaves!

Introduction

C'était Richter Belmont, le légendaire chasseur de vampire, qui réussit a enfin mettre un terme à la menace du Comte Dracula, qui a été ramené d'entre les morts par Shaft, le prêtre maléfique.

Cependant, lors d'une nuit, quatre ans plus tard, sous la lueur de la pleine lune, Richter disparut mystérieusement.

Sans savoir par où commencer ses recherches, Maria Renard parti à sa poursuite. C'est alors que le destin intervenu. Castlevania, le château de Dracula qui d'après les rumeurs n'apparait qu'une fois par siècle, se matérialise soudainement en surgissant du brouillard, comme s'il voulait lui montrer le chemin.

Pendant ce temps, de puissantes forces luttaient pour le re d'une personne nommée Alucard. Ce même Alucard qui avait fait équipe avec Trévor Belmont pour affronter son pière immortel, Comte Vlad Tepes Dracula.

Alucard, dans le but de purger le monde de sa proprée lignée maudite, avait enfoui ses pouvoirs vampiriques. Il s'était plongé dans ce qui devait être un sommeil éternel. Mais maintenant, il est reveilé et au courant que le mal se répand une fois de plus sur ses terres.

Le temps est venu, une fois encore, pour les forces du Bien et du Mal de relancer leur ancien combat. Le château de Dracula vous fait signe...

Et personne ne peut dire qui pourra en sortira victorieux.

The time has once again come for the forces of Good and Evil to engage in their ancient battle. Dracula's castle beckons you...

And no man can say who shall emerge victorious.

L'avertissement de la Mort

La Mort : Ah, Alucard. Que viens donc tu faire ici ?
Alucard : Je suis venu pour mettre un terme à ceci.

Première rencontre avec Maria (salle de l'horloge)

Après avoir été dépossédé de tous ses objets par la Mort, Alucard pénètre dans le château. Après quelques temps, il pénètre dans la salle de l'horloge et rencontre Maria.

Maria : Attendez un peu, vous semblez humains et pourtant... Que faites-vous ici ?
Alucard : Je suis venu pour détruire ce château.
Maria : Alors nous partageons cet objectif.
Alucard : Je vous ferai confiance dans ce cas.
Maria : Je suis Maria, qui êtes-vous ?
Alucard : ........... Alucard.
Maria : Pas vraiment bavard à ce que je vois. Bien, peut-être nous recroiserons-nous de nouveau.
Alucard : Si vous survivez jusque là. Adieu.

Entre deux rangées de livre, Alucard retrouve une vieille connaissance : le bibliothécaire.

Bibliothécaire : Oh! C'est vous maître Alucard. De quoi avez-vous besoin ?
Alucard : J'ai besoin de ton aide.
Bibliothécaire : Mon jeune maître. Je ne peux aider ceux qui s'oppose au maître.
Alucard : Tu auras une juste récompense (ndw : récompense = $$$).
Bibliothécaire : Vraiment ? Dans ce cas, tu n'as qu'à me dire ce qu'il t'est nécessaire.
Alucard : Je suis interessé par cela.
Bibliothécaire : Ca sera tout ?
Alucard : Oui, je pense que cela suffira.
Bibliothécaire : Ho-Ho Merci.

Deuxième rencontre avec Maria (après avoir ouvert la porte magique de la chapelle)

Les quelques achats qu'à fait Alucard lui permettent d'explorer la chappelle où il retombe sur Maria.

Maria : Ainsi nous nous rencontrons de nouveau Alucard.
Alucard : Cela y ressemble.
Maria : Toujours aussi chaleureux je vois. C'est étrange. Ce château est différent de ce dont je me souvenais. (ndw : ne pas oublier que Maria est déja venue petite dans Dracula X - Chi No Rondo sur PC-Engine !).
Alucard : Ce château est une créateur issue du chaos. Il peut apparaître sous de nombreuses formes différentes.
Maria : Je ne peux compter sur ma mémoire hein ? Bon, je ferais de mon mieux alors.
Alucard : Bonne chance.

Maria : So we met again Alucard.
Alucard : It seems so.
Maria : As friendly as ever I see. Its strange. This castle is different then I remember it.
Alucard : This castle is a creature of chaos. It may take many incarnations.
Maria : I can't trust my memories huh? Oh well I'll do my best.
Alucard : Good luck.

Troisième rencontre avec Maria (dans la chapelle, après le combat contre l'hyppogriph)

Après un rude combat contre un monstre, Alucard et Maria

Maria : Impressionnant, vous êtes très fort.
Alucard : Que voulez-vous ? Vous n'êtes pas venu ici pour me dire cela.
Maria : Exact. Connaissez-vous le nom de Richter Belmont?
Alucard : Du clan des Belmont (ndw : à ce moment, Alucard a en tête Trevor, le Belmont qu'il a connu au XVème siècle) ? Bien sûr mais...
Maria : Il a disparu il y a près d'un an. Je suis sure qu'il est ici. Si vous le voyez, faites le moi s'avoir s'il vous plait.
Alucard : Comme vous souhaitez, ma demoiseille.
Maria : Merci. Ainsi, vous savez réellement vous comporter en gentleman.

Maria : Impressive, your very strong.
Alucard : What is it you want ? You didn't come here to tell me that.
Maria : Your right. Do you know that name Richter Belmont?
Alucard : Of the Belmont Klan ?
Maria : Of course but... He disappeared about a year ago. And I'm sure he's here. If you see him, please let me know.
Alucard : As you wish my lady.

Rencontre avec Richter (arène)

Dans l'arène, Alucard rencontre ce fameux Belmont que cherche Maria. Malheureusement, il semble plutôt vindicatif... Ce dialogue est assez sobre mais il semble qu'il y en ai plusieurs versions d'enregistrées sur le CD.

Richter : Hehahahaha
Alucard : Qui êtes-vous ?
Richter : Ouvrez les portes de l'enfer. Venez, avancez, mes serviteurs
Alucard : Le parfum de ce sang, tu es un Belmont !
Richter : Ecrasez-moi cette puce qui envahit mon château.
...combat...
Richter : Hehahaha
Alucard : Je suis sûr que c'était un Belmont. Ainsi il a dit qu'il était le seigneur de ce château.

Richter : Hehahahaha
Alucard : Who are you?
Richter : Open hell's gate. Come forth my servants.
Alucard : The scent of your blood, your a Belmont.
Richter : Crush this flea who invades my castle.

Richter : Hehahaha
Alucard : I'm certain that It was a Belmont. So he says he is the lord of this castle.

Rencontre avec Maria - la bague (corridor suspendue de la chapelle)

Maria : Alors, avez-vous trouvé Richter ?
Alucard : Je ne sais pas si c'est celui que vous cherchiez, mais j'ai trouvé un Belmont.
Maria : Vraiment ? Alors il est ici.
Alucard : Mais celui que j'ai vu était notre ennemi. C'était le seigneur de ce château.
Maria : Ca, ça ne peut être vrai. Vous vous trompez. Je... je dois y aller.

Maria : So, did you find Richter?
Alucard : I don't know if he's the one your looking for, but I found a Belmont.
Maria : Really?

Rencontre avec Shaft - prélude au combat final

Alucard rencontre enfin Shaft au centre du château inversé.

Shaft : Tu t'es bien débrouillé pour arrivé aussi loin. Je n'en attendais pas moins de la part du fils de notre Maître.
Alucard : Ainsi c'est toi qui controlait Belmont.
Shaft : Oui, je suis le prêtre maléfique nommé Shaft. Ce monde doit être nettoyé par la toute puissance du chaos.
Alucard : Pourquoi as-tu fait de Belmont le seigneur de ce château ?
Shaft : Pendant des sicèles les chasseurs de vampires ont vaincu les ténèbres grâce à leurs pouvoirs sacrés. Mais... si deux chasseurs de vampire venaient à s'affronter...
Alucard : Mais le pouvoir des Belmont est le plus grand parmi ceux des chasseurs de vampire. Personne ne peut le vaincre.
Shaft : Exactement. C'est pour cela j'ai capturé cette menace afin d'en faire le seigneur du château.
Alucard : Mais ton plan a échoué.
Shaft : L'a-t-il réellement ? On va voir ce qui va se passer dès que j'aurai détruit ta faiblesse humaine.

Shaft : Argh.. non...
Alucard : Tu as clamé aimer les ténèbres, alors vas et reste-y pour toute l'éternité
Shaft : Mais... j'ai atteint mon but. Comte Dracula est de retour pour purifier ce monde corrompu grâces à ses flammes du chaos !

Autres phrases qui n'ont pas été mises dans notre version mais qui sont sûrement dans la version japonaise quelque part :

Shaft : Non..! Non!
Alucard : Il semble que tes pouvoirs sont insuffisants.
Shaft : Cinq ans, il m'a fallu cinq ans pour rassembler mes pouvoirs et le ressuciter, et tout ça pour rien..
Alucard ? : Damn!
Shaft : Oh.. ohohoh le portail s'ouvre.
Alucard : Celui qui joue trop près du jeu ne peut que se brûler.

Shaft : You have done well in making it this far. I would expect no less from the son of our master.
Alucard : So you are the one who was controlling Belmont.
Shaft : Yes, I am the Dark Priest called Shaft. This world must be cleaned with the forge of chaos.
Alucard : Why did you make Belmont lord of this castle?

Lisa : Non Alucard. Ne t'approches pas d'ici.
